Summary
SIR - Whether most over-fifties have enough money for a decent retirement is questionable (May 4). In fact, they are split into two categories - those in well-paid secure jobs looking forward to retirement and those unable to access a healthy pension fund due to health reasons or inaccessibility to good jobs due to ageism by employers.
Of course, there are plenty of successful older politicians, rock stars, actors and businessmen, but how many started this career path later in life - very few indeed - as, apart from the field of politics, it is very difficult to change career direction in your fifties.See the full content of this document
