SIR - Over recent weeks, and last winter, we have seen at least 20 scallop fishing boats operating quite close to the shore in the area around Cardigan Island, near Gwbert, Cardigan.
Some boats were fishing within a mile or two of the island, both on the west and north sides. This was particularly so in the period February 15-19.See the full content of this document
