Sir - i have just witnessed the final march past of Burberry workers through Treorchy and I can't help thinking that, just as 20 years ago the miners' final march in Maerdy heralded the end of coal mining in the Rhondda, so this march heralds the end of the Rhondda as a base for manufacturing industry.
