Sir - Isn't it interesting how quickly Michael Foot's status as a giant in the Labour government is torn up when he inconveniently supports all- women shortlists.
Far from being 'out of touch' he has taken a keen interest in the political developments in Blaenau Gwent and his intellect and analysis remains razor sharp.
