NICK CLEGG has no "secret preference" for Labour or the Conservatives to win the next general election, he insisted last night.

With polls suggesting a Tory win, there have been reports that Mr Clegg's Lib Dems would be prepared to work with the Conservatives, particularly if David Cameron has a small or non-existent overall majority.
