A family from rural Wales who swapped the quiet life for the stresses and strains of living in London for a reality TV show yesterday said they found the capital 'smelly' and 'too fast'. Wendy Powell and daughters Sian, 17, Michelle, 15, and Kelly, 12, had never strayed further from their home in Deiniolen, Gwynedd, than the 85-mile journey to Liverpool before taking part in ITV's Town and Country.

Only husband Michael had tasted life in the capital prior to taking part in the programme last September, and that was 20 years ago when he visited a cousin.
