Welsh people are the worst savers in Britain, according to research published today. On average, we put aside just under pounds 31 a month - the lowest amount in any region of the UK, according to a survey by Birmingham Midshires.

Financial advisers have called on young people to take saving more seriously, with a pension crisis looming.
