THE Llandysul bypass is nearing completion. It's an impressive piece of engineering, sweeping on stilts across the Teifi Valley and up the incline to rejoin the road to Synod Inn, Aberaeron and ultimately boom town Aberystwyth.
At a cost of pounds 16m, you could call it a sort of joined-up thinking - connecting Ceredigion to the South Wales motorway corridor. This, so the theory went, will boost the local economy. Faster roads with fewer bends, inclines or pesky medieval bridges will attract companies to set up shop in "remote" regions like Ceredigion.See the full content of this document
