A master plan is being drawn up to set out the future for one of Wales' most historical university towns. Aberystwyth's position as one of the hubs of Mid Wales is expected to be to be enhanced over the next decade by a number of planned new leisure, retail and social developments.

Ceredigion County Council, the Welsh Assembly Government and Welsh Development Agency are now working on preparing the town to cope with an expected glut of investment and building.
