Mcdonald's Lottery Couple Decide to Quit Work After All

A couple who vowed to continue working at McDonald's despite winning pounds 1.3m on the Lottery have quit their jobs. Colleagues at the fast-food chain's Pontprennau branch, in Cardiff, confirmed that Luke Pittard and Emma Cox had now handed in their notice. The couple, who met at the drive-through, hit the jackpot four months ago. They still lived with their parents at the time and said they planned to spend some of the cash on a house where they could live with two-year-old daughter Chloe.

Mr Pittard, 23, said at the time, 'We're going to carry on working. It's an enjoyable job. They treat us really well.'
