A TRACK inspired by mist-shrouded mountains of a Welsh valley has been named the UK's favourite rock song.

Stairway To Heaven started life when Led Zeppelin band members Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were staying at a remote cottage at Bron- yr-Aur, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
