Andy murray's injury jinx struck again to wreck his chances in the French Open. The Scot suffered a lower-back problem in the third set of his battle with French teenager Gael Monfils. And while he battled on to take a two sets to one lead, he eventually succumbed to Monfils in five sets 6-4 6-7 1-6 6-2 6-1 in three hours and 42 minutes.

It was a valiant display from the youngster from Dunblane on the chilliest of afternoons, although his continuing physical problems must be a concern for his future.
