With a specially prepared arrangement by Karl Jenkins, the recently appointed Royal Harpist Claire Jones, playing on the magnificent golden royal harp, was joined by her predecessors, Catrin Finch and Jemima Phillips, to delight the enthusiastic Wales Millennium Centre audience.
The gala concert to launch the European Harp Festival set out to show that the harp is not just the traditional accompaniment to Welsh folk songs but is just at home in other musical styles, even in rock music.
