David cameron yesterday warned that the West cannot allow the Nato mission in Afghanistan to fail, as he called for greater co- ordination in both military and civil effort. In Kabul at the start of a two-day fact-finding mission, the Tory leader said that there needed to be a "hard-headed assessment" of the situation in the country.
