SIR - To demonstrate our commitment to be in the forefront of an enlarged EU, we should ensure that our police are equipped with the most modern and innovative technology available to other EU members.
First priority for the North Wales Police should be a fleet of battery-powered patrol cars, which are particularly suited to meet our Chief Constable's concept of policing. With a top speed in the mid-thirties they should easily be able to catch most drivers breaking our speed limits, and their rear compartment has ample storage space for a mobile speed camera and all the associated paperwork.See the full content of this document
