HUNDREDS of people lined the quayside at Southampton yesterday to welcome Cunard's new 92,000-tonne Queen Elizabeth liner on her first visit to her home port.

The pounds 400m ship will be officially named at Southampton by the Queen on Monday. The next day the 964ft vessel will leave on its maiden voyage - a 13-day cruise which includes stops in Lisbon, Tenerife and Madeira.
