BROADCASTER Huw Edwards has been named as the new patron for Swansea Festival of Music and the Arts, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary year.

TheWelsh presenter of the BBC TenO'Clock News said, "For 60 years the Swansea Festival of Music and the Arts has brought many of the world's leading ensembles to Wales, as well as giving me my first opportunity to hear great music live in Swansea's famous Brangwyn Hall."
