Summary
Talking with people suffering from Parkinson's disease has opened my eyes to the problems they face. I was particularly moved when one man explained to me how, although he might be feeling intense joy, he could no longer smile, not even, as he put it, at a new-born baby.
But I have also seen the great strides made in treatment, making it possible to live more fulfilling lives and keeping family life as normal as possible, for Parkinson's is not just a disease of the elderly, it affects young parents, even children.See the full content of this document
