A nurse fighting breast cancer yesterday said she was 'absolutely delighted' after winning a legal battle with her local health authority to be prescribed life-saving drugs. Cancer charities said the Department of Health should now consider making the expensive drug Herceptin available to more women in the early stages of breast cancer following Barbara Clark's victory.

The 49-year-old, from Bridgwater, Somerset, was taking legal action in an attempt to get the expensive drug Herceptin.
