Planning officials in Swansea are recommending approval of plans for a housing development in Mumbles at a hotel site despite strong opposition from local residents. Gower AM Edwina Hart and Mumbles Community Council have also objected to plans for a 22-apartment development at the 33-bed St Anne's Hotel in Western Lane. There were two petitions of objection containing138 and 22 signatures and 28 individual letters of objection.
