YOU can't miss the new Pen Afan School. Towering above the road running through the village of Blaengwynfi, at the top of the Afan Valley, the school's futuristic round buildings stand out from the community's traditional terraced housing.
Dubbed the "spaceship school" because of its circular classroom designs, the facility opened this month after costing pounds 5.4m to build - of which pounds 3.8m was funded by a Welsh Assembly Government grant.See the full content of this document
