DOLGELLAU'S Martin Phillips cruised through 3-0 against seventh seed Dave Prins in the Lakeside BDO World Professional Darts Championships at Frimley Green yesterday.
Phillips (below), who made his tournament debut back in 1991 and reached the last eight 12 months later, is Wales' only representative in the championship. His victory over Prins earned the 49-year-old a second-round clash with Paul Carter, who beat 10th seed Martin Atkins 3-1.
