Plaid Cymru has attacked the 'insane' situation in the rural housing market, which it said was leaving local people unable to buy homes. In an opposition debate on the issue, Alun Ffred Jones AM said a corrugated shed in his Caernarfon constituency was for sale for pounds 90,000.

'The insane inflation of the house price may be good news for homeowners, but it is bad news for everybody else,' he said.
