NEW parking arrangements will come into operation this year for the 20,000 cars and hundreds of livestock lorries and trailers that converge everyday on the Royal Welsh Show.

The changes are being made in a bid to avoid any recurrence of the traffic and parking chaos that hit last year's event when heavy rain forced the organisers to employ 40 tractors to tow vehicles into, as well as out of, waterlogged car parks.
