A LEADING urban planner has called for Parisian-style tax breaks for small local firms to prevent Wales' towns and cities becoming indistinguishable clones.

Roger Evans, who last night delivered a lecture at Cardiff University's School of City and Regional Planning, believes half a century of unimaginative high street development has left Wales' urban areas bereft of individuality.
