Sir - The Communities and Local Government Minister, Phil Woolas disputes the claim that conditions set on planning consents are regularly ignored. The Pembrokeshire Branch of CPRW monitors planning applications and is outraged at the blatant way many developers are allowed to ignore their conditions with the compliance of the local community councils, the county council and the national park authority.

This results in damaged environments, loss of habitats, unsustainable developments, problems passed onto third parties, over- development, poor community relations, and ultimately divided neighbourhoods and a frustrated electorate.
