A PAIR of war memorials which commemorated a camp of American soldiers who stayed in Wales' capital before going to take part in the Normandy landings in 1944 have been refurbished and restored.
The historical plaques were erected on Whitchurch Common, Cardiff, by the American Embassy to thank the local people for the hospitality their soldiers received during the war.See the full content of this document
