The proposed abolition of the Welsh Language Board is worrying news for rural Welsh-speaking communities and for all of us who value our language and identity, Welsh speakers and non-Welsh speakers alike.

This world-class organisation does excellent work in promoting the use of Welsh in our communities, particularly among young people, and its loss would be an act of political vandalism.
