A SAFE found dumped in a field is thought to have been stolen from a betting shop, cut open and emptied of pounds 2,000, police said yesterday.
The heavy fridge-sized safe was found by a farmer on the outskirts of Cowbridge on the weekend. Police investigating a burglary at the Betfred betting shop, in Windsor Road, Penarth, several days earlier believe the safe was taken from there, between 6pm on September 6 and 9am the next morning.See the full content of this document
