Despite defeat, Bluebirds defender Glenn Loovens said he was proud of his side's battling performance against Bristol City. The towering Dutchman was at the heart of a gutsy City defence disappointingly breached once more from a set-piece. Marvin Elliott's 57th-minute header from a corner eventually making the difference.
