The Welsh house price boom has come to an end, with new figures showing a sustained slowdown hitting the market. Figures from the Land Registry show prices fell 0.4% last month to an average of pounds 138,738. For the first time since April 2000, the market has seen two successive months of negative growth, with the July figures following a 1.1% drop in June.
Annual house price growth is now at 5.8%, a far cry from the heyday of summer 2004, when annual price inflation hit 27%.See the full content of this document
