Sacred bull Shambo is to become a worldwide internet star - a webcam is being set up in the temple where he is on death row. The six-year-old Friesian is due to be slaughtered in seven days unless there is a reprieve. The Welsh Assembly is due to meet today to discuss Shambo. He is set for a humane death a week from now. Shambo, worshipped at a Hindu temple in the West Wales countryside, has tested positive for bovine tuberculosis and must be put down to stop the spread of the disease.

Hindus from all over Britain have threatened to form a human shield around the beast to prevent him from being killed.
