Monty Python: Almost The Truth - The BBC Lawyers' Cut BBC Two Wales, 9.15pm They are an ex-comedy troupe - but they're back together for one night only. On October 5, 1969, a television legend was born when Monty Python's Flying Circus was broadcast for the first time. To say that Monty Python was surreal is something of an understatement. Their bizarre form of humour, inspired in part by Spike Milligan, needed a new word to describe it, and the term "Pythonesque" was born. Although the TV show ended in 1974 (Cleese left in 1973), the team have sporadically worked together since. Here, all members, apart from Chapman, who died in 1989, appear, discussing their work with each other.
