WALES' leading climate change scientist last night attacked sceptics for ignoring reality to pursue their own agenda.

Sir John Houghton was responding to a series of attacks on the findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Criticism has mounted since it emerged that claims in a 2007 report published by the body that Himalayan glaciers could melt away by 2035 were s mistake.
