OPERA singers cope with just about anything a producer and design team throw at them. Just as well. This Figaro is as subtle as a sack of soggy satsumas. Once you peel away the costumes and sets, some of what lies inside can be discarded while a few choice segments remain.

I would have said a sharp Seville orange for this show that throws Jeeves and Wooster into an Andalucian caper while practising steps for the May Ball. But there was nothing invigorating when you bit into this production.
