Summary
Wales centre Tom Shanklin hopes to end his injury nightmare on Friday. Shanklin was forced to pull out of the Blues friendly against Worcester last weekend after injuring his thigh in a training-ground collision earlier in the week. But Shanklin, 26, insists he is ready to play his first rugby on Welsh soil for some 16 months in the Blues second pre-season fixture, against Bristol at the Arms Park, after recovering from the serious knee trouble which has restricted him to only one game since the Lions tour of New Zealand in the summer of 2005.
'I took a slight knock on the thigh so it was decided that there was no point in taking any risks in a friendly,' said Shanklin (pictured right).See the full content of this document
