Next weekend will be a potential gold mine for Welsh retailers as experts yesterday predicted a surge in people leaving Christmas shopping to the last minute. Experts say a shift in consumer behaviour, where shoppers are holding on to pick up bargains, is behind the prediction for the handful of shopping days now left before Christmas. Richard Dodd, from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) said, "People leave their main Christmas shopping later and later. Retailers will be confident the peak is yet to come."
