Cardiff will tomorrow set out its claim to host the UK's only super-casino as the controversy over a rival bidder, the Millennium Dome, continues to deepen. The Dome is the favourite to win the right to host the contentious new casino, but its bid has been dogged by suggestions of favouritism. Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott was found to have stayed at the ranch of Philip Anschutz, the owner of Anschutz Entertainment Group, which bought the Dome in 2002.
Mr Prescott has repeatedly insisted that he has not been involved in the casino application process and that AEG has received no preferential treatment.See the full content of this document
