Thieves were caught red-handed trying to steal signs from the village of Llanddewi Brefi as a Little Britain memento, it emerged yesterday. But the two men from north-east England were released with just a caution, sparking anger in the Ceredigion community. Signs have gone missing from the entrance to the village on several occasions after it was made famous by the comedy show as the home of Daffyd, 'the only gay in the village'.
