The father of a British soldier killed in Iraq who is standing as an anti-war candidate against Tony Blair yesterday received an abusive letter that could be construed as a death threat. Reg Keys, whose son Tom, 20, was the youngest of six members of the Royal Military Police gunned down in June 2003, said his wife Sally had called the police after the letter arrived at their home near Bala, Gwynedd.
Mr Keys, who is campaigning in the Prime Minister's constituency of Sedgefield, County Durham, said, 'The letter is full of very abusive language, referring to me as a Tory and as English.
