SOLDIER Gemma Leary assaulted two female police officers who offered her a lift back to barracks following a drinking binge after a Wales rugby international.

In an attack described as "nothing short of shameful for her regiment", the lance corporal, who has won medals in Iraq and Afghanistan, pulled out handfuls of hair from the heads of both female officers.
