CONSERVATIVE Assembly leader Nick Bourne punched back in the fight of his political life yesterday with an apology to his party and a fresh assault on Labour.

Mr Bourne sparked anger in Tory ranks last week when he distanced himself from a 39-page dossier which attacked First Minister Rhodri Morgan's recordin office, criticised his hairstyle and dress sense, and called him the "Clown Prince of Wales".
