CONCERNS have been expressed about the future of the popular Cardiff Singer of the World contest after a BBC decision to ban all commercial sponsorship of on-air events.
The biennial competition was started by BBC Wales in 1983 to celebrate the opening of St David's Hall in Cardiff. It attracts entries from all over the world, and is held in high regard in the classical music industry.See the full content of this document
