Summary
SIR - In his letter 'Parochial attitudes' (The Western Mail, August 31), H O'Brien attacks Burniston ('Turn off the lights!,' (The Western Mail, August 24), for '...condemning a whole nation because it does not think what you would like it to think'.
However in doing this O'Brien takes it upon him/herself to speak for the whole nation, implying that the whole of Wales supports a bilingual language policy. This is just not the case. My understanding is that the Welsh Language Act gives the Welsh language the same status as English.See the full content of this document
