WALES was last night branded television's "Invisible Nation" in a major report calling for a transformation of the nation's portrayal by broadcasters.

Alun Davies, chairman of the Assembly's broadcasting committee, launched a blistering attack on the "failure" of television bosses, regulators and politicians to ensure modern Wales was presented on TV screens. He said: "At the moment Wales is the invisible nation in the United Kingdom.
