SIR - It was wonderful to see the letter from Dr. Christopher Wood (Letters, November 3) pointing out the advantages of using one's own stem cells and the dangers of using embryonic stem cells.
In the past few days there have been reports on trials involving patients who have had heart attacks being treated with their own stem cells taken from their own bone marrow. There was a report as long ago as June 2004 of a British man being treated in Frankfurt with his own bone marrow stem cells who claimed to be cured.See the full content of this document
