GAVIN HENSON was saved by the public vote last night as he earned the right to continue in Strictly Come Dancing - despite beating only Anne Widdecombe in the judges' vote.

The rugby star's score of 27 for his American Smooth performance was lower than any other given by the judges during the show from Blackpool's Tower Ballroom - apart from the record low of 13 given to the ex-Tory MP.
