SO THAT'S that, then. My new-found social life has ground to a halt, as the last big pig event of the year has come and gone.

The Royal County of Berkshire Show at the weekend was the final red letter day on the showing calendar for me and now there's nothing much to look forward to until next spring. As always, the piggy people were great company, we were really fortunate to have some glorious weather, and we came away with two respectable seconds.
