NEW research has been launched in a bid to understand pre- menstrual syndrome.
Caryl Jones, who is based at the University of Glamorgan, is urging women to take part in the study by completing an online survey. Her research - part of her MSc in health psychology - will look at the possible social and psychological factors which may predict pre-menstrual distress. Most research into PMS - which is also commonly known as PMT - has concentrated on the fact that it is caused by abnormal cyclical hormone fluctuations.See the full content of this document
