SWANSEA CITY slumped to their first defeat under Paulo Sousa as some sloppy defending marred a generally positive show to gift Espanyol B victory.

After starting their pre-season with an impressive victory over Steve McClaren's FC Twente, the Swans looked to be on track for another comfortable win as they produced a dominant first-half performance. But they were soon brought back to down to earth with a bump as the Spanish hosts capitalised on their aerial frailty to steal the game away.
